Interflip Pinball Machines
Origins
Interflip was the export brand of Recreativos Franco, one of Spain’s major arcade and pinball machine manufacturers. It was created to market multi-player versions internationally, while the domestic versions bore the Recreativos Franco name (e.g. Dragon vs. Dragoon)
Established in approximately 1976 and based in Madrid, Interflip produced a series of electromechanical and solid‑state pinball titles through the late 1970s
Notable Machines
Dragon (1977, 4‑player EM): This fantasy‑themed game featured dragon‑like drop targets that made distinctive electronic “growling” noises, three pop‑bumpers, and a kick‑out hole. It was the export version of the domestic Recreativos Franco “Dragoon”
Other titles included Alaska, Cherokee, Jalisco, Impact, and Full—most produced between 1976 and 1978—totaling roughly six known models
Legacy & Reputation
While short‑lived compared to giants like Bally or Williams, Interflip is recognized among enthusiasts for offering interesting and collectible models from Spain’s pinball boom era
